DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS POLL:  American voters across the political spectrum are divided on whether the rise of Democratic Socialists within the Democratic Party is a sign of positive change or creeping extremism, new polling shows. 

VVP AI FRAUD: Sixty percent of voters say artificial intelligence should be used to help detect fraud, waste, or abuse in government programs such as Medicaid, while 27% oppose it, according to The Center Square's latest Voters' Voice Poll. The GAO estimates that fraud costs the government between $233 billion and $521 billion a year. (Brett Rowland)

ABORTION POLL: A slim majority of American voters said they support allowing women to access abortion pills through the mail as challenges to the practice occur in federal courtrooms across the country. 

ELECTION 2026, EDWARDS CENSURE: U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards, R-N.C., apologized to family and staff from the floor of the House of Representatives on Tuesday ahead of a censure vote tied to ethics complaints on his behavior. The ayes prevailed on a voice vote, Edwards requested yeas and nays, and further proceedings were postponed until a time yet to be announced. Edwards withdrew his bid for reelection following a report from the chamber’s Committee on Ethics. By Alan Wooten.
