IBOGAINE TRIALS: The FDA on Tuesday opened a public comment window on how to design the first federally supported clinical trials of ibogaine, a psychedelic with known cardiac and neurological risks. An April executive order directs HHS to shift at least $50 million through ARPA-H to partner with states on psychedelic research, but the agency has not said where the money came from or where it went. Texas committed $50 million of its own and has yet to execute a contract, with the state citing the consortium's failure to meet matching-fund and intellectual property requirements.
