Supreme Court temporarily allows White House ballroom construction

Chief Justice John Roberts issued a stay on Friday temporarily stopping a D.C. District Court's injunction against further construction on the ballroom. The D.C. court's injunction comes after a lawsuit from the National Trust for Historic Preservation urged an end to the ballroom's construction. 

IndyCar speeds into nation’s capital
Drivers will hit the streets this weekend for the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C as part of more than $90 million in taxpayer funds spent over the past year in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
